Butterfly Easel Card !

Hello friends!

Here I am back again with another birthday card. I just love butterflies and I am sure you guys know it.

This is a Butterfly easel card which I learnt from this great tutorial. Since I didn't have a butterfly die, I made my own easel cutting file in Silhouette software and am really happy that I could do this :D

After cutting the butterflies, I dry embossed the different sizes, inked the edges with distress inks and then glued them together.  I also made tiny rolled roses for the butterfly body . The sentiment is simple and is stamped and heat embossed with Distress Embossing Powder.

This card is great as it stands on its own and can also be folded down flat as shown below.

I really felt happy after making this card and hope you all like it too :)

Happy, Happy Birthday!!

Hi friends!

Another birthday card to share with you .

I wanted to keep the sentiment as the focal point of my card so have stamped and embossed it with black embossing powder. The frame  is a cameo cut file  and the  beautiful background paper is from DCWV. The background paper being already embossed, I didn't feel like adding anything to my card and just tied a yellow ribbon behind the sentiment for color.

One thing I came across was that I brushed a little bit of  corn flour/cornstarch on the paper and then wiped  it off  before embossing the sentiment. This really helped in a much cleaner embossing. Thought I share this with you :)

Entering my card into the following challenges:

Seize the Birthday: (went with anything goes with Birthday )

Hello Friends!

Sharing this Sparkly Birthday card that I made for a few of my favorite Challenges.

The background is made by inking the CS with  Distress inks. It is then stamped and  heat embossed with Silver Embossing  Powder. The Die cuts and the edges of the doily are also distressed. To top it all I tied matching ribbons and glued pearls on the corner of the card.

The background and the butterflies are inked  with different Distress inks on kraft CS then stamped and  heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. The sentiment is in Arabic meaning "Eid Greetings". The edges of the banners are also heat embossed in gold.
