Happy World Card Making Day!!!

Hello friends! Happy World Card Making Day!!! I celebrated this day by making a few cards and this was my first one.

I colored these gumnuts a while ago using copic markers and decided to make a shaker card with it.

The background is a patterned paper and the inside is filled with sequins. I've kept it simple as I wanted the flowers to be prominent.

Guest Designing LBBS-MissLilyBigCupcake!

Hello everyone! I'm back  with my second post as a guest designer for LBBStamps this month :)

This time, I made a shaker card using the lovely Miss Lily Big Cupcake image. 

Ms. Lily reminds me of a child’s delight towards something sweet, such as a frosted cupcake with a cherry on top 😊

I quite enjoyed coloring this stamp and so I ended up making another card using the same image.

Guest Designing at LBBS-Charlie With Teapot!

Hello crafty friends.

Hope you are having fun crafting. Today I am So happy to share with you all that I will be a guest designer for  Little Blue Button Stamps for the months of September and October!!! I am really honored and thankful for LBBS for giving me this opportunity :)

Here is my card using the beautiful ‘Charlie With Teapot’  digital stamp.

I really loved coloring this sweet image. Charlie looks quite elegant and classy with a gentle smile on her face, so I went with a shabby chic look for this card.

I colored her using copic markers and then added many dots using a white gel pen for a glittery look on her dress and shoes :) The blue flowers are all handmade.

Good News!!!

Hello everyone!!! I am soooo happy to share with you all that I am now part of the very first Creative Team of the Paper Curves UAE, a UAE/Dubai based online craft store and this is my first post for them. I am really happy and excited to be part of this team and have created a mixed media layout using the beautiful products I received in my kit.

The pretty flowers are from Prima Marketing and the beautiful chipboard pieces are from 49 and Market - Happy Moments white, which I have heat embossed using holographic embossing powder. I love how the circle piece acts as a frame around the picture.

(Can you see how gorgeous these heat embossed 'happy moments' look? :)

I did some random stamping using 49 and Market's stamp Gabi's Crackle Texture using black Archival ink. I feel this stamp set is perfect to add fun crackles to your projects.

I have also used different mediums like crackle paste, micro beads, lindy's sprays gesso and finnabair's acrylic paints for all the textures.

Here are the pictures showing the process 

 I started with a 12 x 12 patterned paper, after adhering it on a chipboard, applied clear gesso all over it, dried it and then applied a thin layer of white gesso leaving out some areas. 

To create my background, I added white crackle paste through stencils then randomnly stamped over it with Gabi's crackle texture stamp set on different parts of the layout.

I, then, gathered different mediums and embellishments to go with my design.

Next, I used lindy's sprays and finnabair's acrylic paint for some colors, kept adding   gesso and drying these until I was happy with the colors ( I added white gesso with pink acrylic paint for a soft look)

Finally, I embellished the layout with the beautiful flowers, heat embossed chipboard pieces,  photos with the circle frame and splatters of pink, white and blue colors all over it :)

Tale As Old As Time...

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I am sharing another shaker card. This one is made with a Rose digital stamp by Kit and Clowder. If you have followed me on Instagram you might remember that I colored this flower for The 30 Day coloring Challenge by Kathy Racoosin. When coloring this rose, it reminded me of the movie 'Beauty and the Beast'. 

I die cut patterned papers from DCWV to make the shaker panel for the card and filled the inside with red and gold sequins. 

The flower is colored with copic markers, fussy cut and glued onto the front and so are the stem and leaves.

 Can you see the tiny gold bow that I tied to the stem?

Hello friends! Has been more than a month since I have posted on my blog as I had busied myself making personal projects for my family and also participated in Kathy Racoosin's 30 day coloring challenge. 

Anyways, I would like to share this shaker card with you which I made for Altenew's February Inspiration Challenge.

I was inspired by the color palette provided by the talented Debby Hughes.

I stamped 'Magnolias for Her' and colored the flowers with prisma color pencils using the no line coloring technique. The stem and vase are hand drawn and colored with copic markers.

For the shaker part of the card, I used vellum as I wanted the soft look and the flowers as the focal point of my card. The inside is filled with sequins.

A Perfect Bird-day!

Hi friends! This is my third card in a row. Seems like a good start for the year :)) Today I made another cute card with fun colors and the perfect greeting!

The adorable bird digi (also a freebie) is from Create A Smile stamps. She is colored with copic markers and is layered on a shaker card. I really enjoyed coloring her :) 

The vibrant background is done with water colors using smooshing techniques. I hope you can see the beautiful die cut inside.

To top it off, I filled the inside with glittery sequins and added the 'bird-day' sentiment.

Surf's Up!

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful day!!!

I have this cute card to share with you :)

I started making this card by printing and coloring the adorable penguin freebies from Create A Smile ( they have some cool freebies on their website:). After coloring them with my copic markers I decided to ink the background with vibrant distress inks. 

The waves are die cuts from MFT which are also inked with Distress ink Evergreen Bough. Finally added some clouds and the 'hello' sentiment from Paper Smooches.

Truly enjoyed making this bright and cheerful card. Hope you like it too :)

Sharing today my first post for the year. I made this celebration themed card using the lovely digital stamp from All Dressed Up called 'Feeling Spoilt'

The image and background are colored using copic markers and the floor is inspired by the talented Sandy Allnock's tutorials. I love her work especially her coloring.

The card was kept simple. I wanted to focus on coloring as I'd like to improve it this year ( Don't worry i'll still continue with my mixed media and layered cards too :)
