Good News!!!

Hello everyone!!! I am soooo happy to share with you all that I am now part of the very first Creative Team of the Paper Curves UAE, a UAE/Dubai based online craft store and this is my first post for them. I am really happy and excited to be part of this team and have created a mixed media layout using the beautiful products I received in my kit.

The pretty flowers are from Prima Marketing and the beautiful chipboard pieces are from 49 and Market - Happy Moments white, which I have heat embossed using holographic embossing powder. I love how the circle piece acts as a frame around the picture.

(Can you see how gorgeous these heat embossed 'happy moments' look? :)

I did some random stamping using 49 and Market's stamp Gabi's Crackle Texture using black Archival ink. I feel this stamp set is perfect to add fun crackles to your projects.

I have also used different mediums like crackle paste, micro beads, lindy's sprays gesso and finnabair's acrylic paints for all the textures.

Here are the pictures showing the process

I started with a 12 x 12 patterned paper, after adhering it on a chipboard, applied clear gesso all over it, dried it and then applied a thin layer of white gesso leaving out some areas.

To create my background, I added white crackle paste through stencils then randomnly stamped over it with Gabi's crackle texture stamp set on different parts of the layout.

I, then, gathered different mediums and embellishments to go with my design.

Next, I used lindy's sprays and finnabair's acrylic paint for some colors, kept adding   gesso and drying these until I was happy with the colors ( I added white gesso with pink acrylic paint for a soft look)

Finally, I embellished the layout with the beautiful flowers, heat embossed chipboard pieces,  photos with the circle frame and splatters of pink, white and blue colors all over it :)

I hope you like my layout :)

Guest Designing at A Day For Daisies III

Hello friends!

Back again with another guest designer post. Always great to work with images from A Day For Daisies, they are so lovely to color and what a great variety they have. This time I chose to use ‘The Green Lady’  for my card. This oriental beauty looks great and makes my card so special and I enjoyed coloring her.

I have used copics  and pencil colors on the image and it worked great. The card is also covered in handmade flowers on one side and embellished with ribbon and die cut on the other.
I used patterned paper for the background to match with the image.

Thanks ADFD for giving me the opportunity !

Hope you guys like it :)

Love you Mom!

Hello friends,

Sharing a beautiful mother's day card I made today. Although mother's day is celebrated in march here in UAE, I was inspired by the many wonderful mother's day themed challenges going on.

Here's the one I made.

I have used soft shades of pink for this card and have tried to keep it simple yet classy. The die cuts are from cheery lynn. I love these die cuts as they give elegance to any card.

The tiny rose and rosette are handmade and the heart is glued with loose glitter powder.

Finally I have embellished this card with pearls, butterflies, punches and a tulle ribbon.

Hope you like it :)

I would love to enter it into the following Challenges:

Easel Drawer Card!

Hello Friends

Hope you are having fun crafting!!!  Today I am sharing with you an easy tutorial to make a 5½  x 5 ½ Drawer Easel cardThis is really easy to make and the end product looks really amazing. Hope you guys like it :)

You will need:

-Heavy Cardstock
Two 8 ½  x 7 inch ( A)
One 8 ½ X 8 ¼ inch (B)
One 5 ½ X 11 inch (C)
One 5 ½   X 5 ½ inch (D)
-Scoring Board.
-Scissors
.-Adhesive.

First we are going to make the sleeve of the drawer :)

Take cardstock A and, with the 7 inch short side on the left, score at 1 ½ inch. Repeat along the three sides, leaving the last 8 and half inches side as it is. Repeat the same with the second cardstock A.

Cut the two tabs, fold and burnish the creases. Again repeat the same with second cardstock A as well.

Next glue the tabs with a strong adhesive.

The two boxes are ready :)

Now attach the boxes together by applying glue around the outside of one box and gluing it inside the other.

This completes the sleeve :)

Now to make the drawer:

Take cardstock B and score at  1 and a half inch on all four sides.

Cut the tabs as shown in the picture, burnish the creases and fold up to form the box. Secure with strong adhesive.

Slide your box into the sleeve. The drawer box card is almost ready :)

Now to make our easel card:

Take cardstock C. Score the long side at 5 ½ and 8 ¼ inches and make mountain folds on both scored lines.

Attach cardstock D as shown and you are done  :)

Decorate as you like.

I have embellished my card with patterned papers, wet embossed butterfly, diecuts and flowers :)

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and will give it a try!

Happy Crafting :) :)
